Service without a weapon is possible.

How does the selection procedure work?

Conscripts who believe fit the profile to join the Space Command should get in touch with us before doing their recruitment, such that a pre-screening can be performed. (Recruits who have already been assigned will have the possibility announcing themselves during the first week of Rekrutenschule / Ecole de recrues.)

After an introductory screening during the first week of service, candidate interviews will be performed throughout week three. If successful, all Space Candidates will be centralized during week seven and receive a modular space instruction, before passing a final selection step.

Space Candidates who successfully complete these steps will then become Space Soldiers, later becoming Space Specialists or Team Leaders.

Can I join the Space Command without ranking up (to sergeant or officer)?

No. The Space Command requires extended training to ensure that all members acquire the necessary operational capabilities, which cannot be accomplished in the nominal 18 weeks of Rekrutenschule / école de recrues.

All recruits who successfully pass the Space Command selection procedure will be required to accomplish a minimum of 440 days of service as Space Specialist with the rank of Wachtmeister / sergent.

Recruits with leadership abilities have the possibility of becoming Team Leader (Feldweibel / sergent-major) or Shift Leader (Leutnant / lieutenant).

What is the service structure of a Space Specialist?

After being designated Space Candidate (through recruitment or the first weeks of RS / ER), recruits go through basic training where they follow a specialized space instruction and a selection procedure.

If successfully passed, recruits complete a four-week technical space course after completing the RS (earning the rank of sergeant), and subsequently 16 weeks of practical service as Space Specialists.

Sergeants then serve seven WK / CR as Space Specialists.

What is the service structure of a Team Leader?

After being designated Space Candidate (through recruitment or the first weeks of RS / ER), recruits go through basic training where they follow a specialized space instruction and a selection procedure.

If successfully passed, recruits complete a four-week Unteroffizierschule / Ecole de sous-officier after the RS (earning the rank of sergeant), and subsequently 19 weeks of practical service.

Once the practical service completed, sergeants follow a four-week technical space course (earning the rank of sergeant-major), and subsequently 16 weeks of practical service as Team Leader.

Sergeants-major then serve four WK / CR as Team Leaders.

What is the service structure of a Shift Leader?

After being designated Space Candidate (through recruitment or the first weeks of RS / ER), recruits go through basic training where they follow a specialized space instruction and a selection procedure.

If successfully passed, recruits complete a four-week Unteroffizierschule / Ecole de sous-officier after the RS (earning the rank of sergeant), and subsequently seven weeks of practical service.

Sergeants then complete a 15-week Offizierschule / Ecole d’officier (earning the rank of lieutenant) followed by 19 weeks of practical service, and a four-week technical space course followed by 16 weeks of practical service as Team Leader.

Lieutenants then serve five WK / CR as Shift Leaders.

I have already completed my RS / ER. Can I switch functions to the Space Command?

It is possible, but this is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

The Space Command does not have any soldats! Soldats that are willing to join should note that ranking up to Wachtmeister / sergent is a requirement, which is done through means of a technical school and a praktische Dienst / paiement de galons.
